     FULL REPORT

Summary :

There are people who aim for perfection when speaking in a language and do not consider other ways of speaking it. This creates a stigma of speaking a language other than the standard way. Those who use non-standard language are stereotyped as uneducated in society. This also led people, particularly students who are not fluent in a language to feel pressured when speaking in public with the fear that they will be criticized and therefore decreasing their confidence. Lastly, people have this mindset because they are not exposed to code switching, code mixing, bilingualism, multilingualism and diglossia terms which shows that speaking in the non-standard variants of a language is common in a society.

Objective :

1. To educate students about code-switching and code-mixing

2. To break the stigma around the usage of non-standard language in everyday life
