Summary :
For the Social Engagement course, 79 students of Second Year and First Year TESL majors have decided to collectively conduct an online storyteling competition. Due to the COVID-19 issue, we cannot conduct any outdoor activities as what we have initially planned. Therefore, for this session, we have managed to organize some competition by using social media as the platform. We have included several types of competition such as storytelling and public speaking. These competitions were open to pre-, primary and secondary schools students.
Objective :
1. To introduce various interesting activities as a way of learning English language in a more interactive way.
2. To promote English language as one of the most important and intriguing core subjects to learn in the school syllabus.
3. To encourage students to communicate in English language and overcome their lack of confidence while doing so.
4. To infuse students with higher order thinking and problem-solving skills efficiently throughout their involvement in the activities.
