SULAM SHARING WORKSHOP – Strengthening University Learning and Society
The SULAM Sharing Workshop was successfully held on 23 September 2025 at BK, FCSIT Universiti Malaya. The program gathered faculty SULAM coordinators, lecturers, and staff of Universiti Malaya who are directly involved in the implementation of SULAM.
The sharing sessions by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Budi Aslinie Md Sabri (Dentistry, UiTM), Mas Idayu Md Sabri (FSKTM, UM) and Dr. Amir Rashad (FBL, UM) provided valuable insights in strengthening understanding and enhancing the implementation of SULAM at UM.
🔹 Objectives Achieved:
• To provide a fundamental understanding of SULAM in teaching and learning.
• To share experiences from successful community-based learning projects.
• To offer practical guidance for lecturers in designing SULAM projects within their courses.
• To establish cross-faculty networks that encourage collaboration on SULAM projects at UM.
• To strengthen CITRA’s role as the main coordinating centre for SULAM at Universiti Malaya by providing a platform for sharing, training, and cross-faculty networking.
This workshop has successfully served as a platform for sharing ideas, experiences, and best practices in ensuring that SULAM continues to create high impact for students and the community.
